Specialized in the passive protection against fire, Compart conceives and develops innovative solutions to fireproof isolation. Implemented in buildings and industries, these solutions help to avoid fire propagation, toxic gases and smoke dispersion in case of fire by providing a real watertightness after the installation of cables.
In case of fire, technical sheathe, electrical armoires and openings between paves are real chimneys to fire propagation. Since its beginning, the fire and smoke are sucked into these rooms. The study and analysis of fire have also stressed the absence of fireproof isolation. At the same time, the fire regulations are getting more and more tough in France, notably to harmonize with the European regulations. Finally, the environment protection interdicts some chemical substances. All of these reason have conduct the founders of Compart to create new concepts of fireproof weather stripping.
It’s in the midst of the laboratory of grand-diffusion materials of the Mines School of Alès (EMA – Ecole de Mines d’Alès – FRANCE) that EasyPART® and EvoluPART® were created, the first two of the products developed by Compart. Winners 2003 of the Challenge of highly-technological enterprise creation, in the category "emergence", the project (once called “Fire Protect”) has evolved before winning once again the same challenge, in 2004 in the category “creation-development”.
The innovation of EasyPART® resides essentially in its formulation: full respect of the environment, exempted of every halogen products or brome components, EasyPART® is a bi-consistent fireproof foam that offers an excellent fireproof behavior while having a cost 30% lower than actual solutions.
The innovation of EvoluPART®is that is the first fireproof solution combining adaptable cable trays with the avoidance of fire propagation and toxic gases or smoke dispersion. This permanent solution, usable in new or renovated buildings, evolves with the building and supports different openings sizes in function of its applications and of the building site. EvoluPART® is particularly adapted to the frequent passages of cables in telecommunication, electrical or networking sites. This unique concept permits the crossing of fireproof walls or floors for the passage of cable without any specific intervention or changing of the fireproof degree of the building.
